Internet Download Manager (registered Version)
Internet Download Manager description:
Schedule, resume and accelerate downloads by up to 5 times with this very good accelerator
Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 500 percent, resume and schedule downloads.
Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.
Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads.
During the download process Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically, unlike other download accelerators and managers that segment files before the download starts Internet Download Manager reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve better acceleration performance.
Internet Download Manager supports proxy servers, ftp and http protocols, firewalls, redirects, cookies, directories with authorization, MP3 audio and MPEG video content processing, and a large number of directory listing formats.
IDM integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, MSN Explorer, AOL Explorer, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firebird, Avant Browser, MyIE, Google Chrome, and all other popular browsers to automatically handle your downloads.
You can also drag and drop files, or use Internet Download Manager from command line. Internet Download Manager can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when it's done.
Other features include multilingual support, zip preview, download categories, built-in download accelerator, scheduler pro, sounds on events, HTTPS support, queue processor, pipelining of ftp commands, html help and tutorial, enhanced virus protection on download completion, progressive downloading with quotas (useful for connections that use some kind of fair access policy or FAP like Direcway, Direct PC, Hughes, etc.), command line parameters, and many others.
Here are some key features of "Internet Download Manager":
· All popular browsers and applications are supported! Internet Download Manager supports all versions of popular browsers, and can be integrated into any 3rd party Internet applications.
· Download with one click. When you click on a download link in a browser, IDM will take over the download and accelerate it. IDM supports HTTP, FTP and HTTPS protocols.
· Download Speed. Internet Download Manager can accelerate downloads by up to 5 times due to its intelligent dynamic file segmentation technology.
· Download Resume. Internet Download Manager will resume unfinished download from the place where they left off.
· Simple installation wizard. Quick and easy installation program will make necessary settings for you, and check your connection at the end to ensure trouble free installation of Internet Download Manager
· Automatic Antivirus checking. Antivirus checking makes your downloads free from viruses and trojans.
· Advanced Browser Integration. When enabled, the feature can be used to catch any download from any application. None of download managers have this feature.
· Built-in Scheduler. Internet Download Manager can connect to the Internet at a set time, download the files you want, disconnect, or shut down your computer when it's done.
· IDM supports many types of proxy servers. For example, IDM works with Microsoft ISA, and FTP proxy servers.
· IDM supports main authentication protocols: Basic, Negotiate, NTLM, and Keberos. Thus IDM can access many Internet and proxy servers using login name and password.
· Download All feature. IDM can add all downloads linked to the current page. It's easy to download multiple files with this feature.
· Customizable Interface. You may choose the order, and what buttons and columns appear on the main IDM window.
· Download Categories. Internet Download Manager can be used to organize downloads automatically using defined download categories.
· Quick Update Feature. Quick update may check for new versions of IDM and update IDM once per week.
· Download limits. Progressive downloading with quotas feature. The feature is useful for connections that use some kind of fair access policy (or FAP) like Direcway, Direct PC, Hughes, etc.
· Drag and Drop. You may simply drag and drop links to IDM, and drag and drop complete files out of Internet Download Manager.
· IDM is multilingual. IDM is translated to Arabic, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovenian, Spanish, Thai languages.

5 Ways to Speed Up Your Windows PC
If you have a Windows PC that is not maintained properly on a regular basis, it’s performance will most likely tend to degrade with the passage of time.
To counter this decreased performance, visiting a computer shop isn’t the only solution. Rather, it is possible to improve your computer’s performance yourself. Here is a way to save your money and squeeze more speed out of your Windows PC.
Steps to Speed Up your PC
1. Free Up Disk Space by eliminating junk files and unused programs from your computer- Remove temporary Internet files.
- Empty the Recycle Bin.
- Remove Windows temporary files.
- Uninstall Programs that you no longer use.
- Goto Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System tools
- Open the Disk Defragmentor program
- Click on Analyze Disk
Cleaning up your Windows registry plays a major role in increasing the speed of your computer. Unfortunately, Windows doesn’t provide any in built tool for cleaning the registry. So, you have to use a commercial registry Cleaner like PC Health Advisor to do this.
Every time you install/uninstall a program or make changes to your computer, a new entry is added to the registry. So, with the passage of time, a large amount of unwanted or invalid entries will get accumulated which begins to clog your registry. This will result in decreased performance of your PC causing error messages and system crashes.
So, clean up your registry on a regular basis to keep your computer performance at it’s best. You can download PC Health Advisor from the following link:
4. Remove Unwanted Programs from the Start-Up
- Type msconfig in Run dialog box and hit Enter.
- Now in the System Configuration window, goto Startup tab
- Uncheck unwanted programs that you wish to remove from the start-up programs
The presence of virus and spyware programs can bring down the performance of your computer down to it’s knees. So install a good antivirus software and keep it updated so as to stay away from malware programs. For more information on virus protection, you can refer my post:

GeForce GTX 590 3D graphics card is scheduled for February
GeForce GTX 590 –
twin-processor 3D goes on sale in February. NVIDIA is trying to take out
their main rival AMD with its Radeon 5970 – which is now the fastest
graphics card in the world, which holds this title since November of
2009.
They have come up with a twin-processor system of GTX 590 model. Previous 3D card made by NVIDIA was GeForce GTX
295 was released in January of 2009. After that NVIDIA focused on
producing simpler models with only one GPU. Their problem was with GF100
– processor that they used: it needed too much power to operate.
However, now NVIDIA is using GF110 processors in their GTX590 which made new video card
not so thirsty. It’s enough with all the history part; now let’s start
talking about its parameters. It has 512 stream processors, and a
384-bit BUS. It has a total of 3GB of GDDR5 on board and there is no
info on working frequencies. It is also known that GeForce GTX590 will have only one but 90mm fan.
GTX 580 which was built around the same processor had frequencies of:
772MHz – core, 1544MHz – shader, 1002MHz – memory. However, I think,
they will have to lower them down to keep power consumption low. GTX 580
had power consumption of about 244 Watts.
GTX590 already has a rival – Radeon HD 6990 (Antilles) that is coming out soon. We expect to see a good fight.

Top 4 Backup Software Programs
Backing up your important files, or perhaps your entire hard drive,
is one of the most valuable maintenance tasks you could possibly do on
your computer. With your data backed up, a hard drive crash or
accidental deletion won't be nearly as painful.
Backup software makes backing up your data automatic - a must-have
feature of any successful backup plan. Here is a list of some of the
most popular backup software titles available.
1. Norton Ghost 14.0
Norton Ghost 14.0 is the latest incarnation of a long time favorite PC
backup program. With Norton Ghost 14.0, you can schedule automatic
backups of your complete system or individual files and folders.
Easy to use configuration wizards make setup a snap for the novice and
advanced options will please even the professional technician. If you
want the complete backup package in one easy to use program, Norton
Ghost 14.0 is an excellent choice.
Norton Ghost 14.0 is currently priced at $69.99USD and is available for Windows XP and Windows Vista.
2. Acronis True Image 11 Home
Acronis True Image 11, like the other popular backup software programs
profiled here, is a complete backup solution for your home computer.
The backup configuration process isn't quite as user friendly in
Acronis True Image 11 as it is in some of the other programs, but it has
a huge number of advanced, unique features including email notification
of completed backups, a hard drive eraser tool, a pc cloning utility,
and much more.
Acronis True Image 11 Home is currently priced at $49.99USD and is available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.
3. Norton Save & Restore 2.0
Think of Norton Save & Restore 2.0 as Norton Ghost "Lite". Norton
Save & Restore 2.0 has all the great standard features of it's more
powerful sibling minus some of the extras like event-based backups,
compression, and some other advanced options.
If you're looking
for a backup program that's simple to use and you don't see yourself
needing some of the more advanced features available in Norton Ghost,

Five Microsoft Predictions for 2011
Here are top five Microsoft Predictions in the coming year.
- Windows 7
will continue to sell huge. As you may know, it's Microsoft's
best-selling operating system ever. It's also Microsoft's best OS ever.
And that last fact, combined with the fact that Windows XP is on its last, creaky legs, will keep Windows 7 selling like crazy.
- Windows Phone 7 will make real inroads. Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft's latest attempt to compete with the iPhone and Android smartphone platforms.
Early returns on the phone are encouraging, but Microsoft has a long
way to go, as it's way behind the two leaders. I think, however, that
the phone's sleek design, and the large number of application developers
Microsoft has signed up to build apps for the phone, will make it a
player. I don't know if it will threaten iPhone and Android next year,
but Windows Phone 7 is a solid product out of the gate.
- Microsoft's move to "the cloud" will continue. In this context,
the "cloud" is the encompassing term for more and more computing
functionality moving to the Internet, instead of being done on your
computer at home. Microsoft has cloud versions of Office and many other
products (think "Google Docs", where you the documents are stored
remotely, on a Google server, rather than your local hard drive). Those
offerings will get more sophisticated in 2011, and more usable.
- Very little will happen on the Windows 8 front. Microsoft is
always working on the next new OS, but I think Windows 7's successor,
Windows 8 (or whatever it'll be called) will be held off for awhile.
This is due mainly to two things: 1) Windows 7 needs a lot more adoption
time. It's not entrenched enough in homes and businesses, and Microsoft
doesn't want to confuse the public by offering another OS so soon, and
2) It's got bigger fish to try. Tremendous resources are being devoted
to technologies like mobile and cloud computing, leaving fewer folks
working on a new OS (especially when Windows 7 is doing so well. After
the Windows Vista disaster, Microsoft couldn't get a new OS out fast enough. That's not the case anymore).
- Steve Ballmer resigns. This is the prediction I'm least confident
about. Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO, hasn't advanced the company very much
since he took over for Bill Gates a few years ago. There's pressure on
him to increase Microsoft's profits more sharply, and that hasn't
happened under his watch. If 2011 is stagnant, he may decided to take
his billions and go home.
A Practical PHP Form to Mail
This is an HTML form for sending email
First we use the option feature to create a drop down menu,
allowing the user to direct their mail to different departments. Each
of these values is set to a different email address. When submitted the
form data will be directed to the appropriate email.
Next we collect information about the customer including their Name, Email, Company and Phone Number.
The user is then prompted to join our mailing list, and a radio button is set to default to "Yes".
Finally the user is given a chance to submit the body of their message in large text area.
This form could be copy-pasted into an existing page, or used as is.
Don't feel bound to using these categories, you can collect as much or
little information as you want using any HTML form input types.
Now we must create the PHP for the page contact.php, to collect the data and send it to the appropriate email.
Explaining The PHP:
The first three variables we assign in our program ($to, $from, and
$name) are all pulled directly from the form data using the $_REQUEST tag. We then define the from header, and a subject for our email (this can be anything you wish.)
Next we create an array;
the data on the left is the form fields and the data on the right is
the 'Human Friendly" label for each type of content. For example list is our mailing list field from our form, and Mailing List is its label. If you added other fields, or removed some from our example form, you must edit this array appropriately.
Next we define the message body. We use $body to first say what we are sending in the mail (We have received the following information) and then use a FOREACH loop to retrieve the data and its appropriate label from our array. We utilize sprintf() and its associated tags to make sure our data is in string format.
Next we define $headers2, $subject2 and $autoreply. These are the
values we will use in our mail to the customer to let them know their
form data has been sent to us. You can adjust these all as you see fit.
Finally we check that our required fields (Name and Email) were not left
blank before sending the email to our site staff and to the customer.
If this is successful, the user is directed (via the header location
tag) to a thank you page. If you prefer you can simply have it print
out a success message, similar to our error messages.
<html><body><font face=Arial size=2><form method="post" action="contact.php"><table bgcolor=#ffffcc align=center><tr><td colspan=2><strong>Contact us using this form:</strong></td></tr><tr><td>Department:</td><td><select name="sendto"> <option value="info@mycompany.com">General</option> <option value="support@mycompany.com">Support</option> <option value="sales@mycompany.com">Sales</option> </select></td></tr><tr><td><font color=red>*</font> Name:</td><td><input size=25 name="Name"></td></tr><tr><td><font color=red>*</font> Email:</td><td><input size=25 name="Email"></td></tr><tr><td>Company:</td><td><input size=25 name="Company"></td></tr><tr><td>Phone:</td><td><input size=25 name="Phone"></td></tr><tr><td>Subscribe to<br> mailing list:</td><td><input type="radio" name="list" value="No"> No Thanks<br> <input type="radio" name="list" value="Yes" checked> Yes, keep me informed<br></td></tr><tr><td colspan=2>Message:</td></tr><tr><td colspan=2 align=center><textarea name="Message" rows=5 cols=35></textarea></td></tr><tr><td colspan=2 align=center><input type=submit name="send" value="Submit"></td></tr><tr><td colspan=2 align=center><small>A <font color=red>*</font> indicates a field is required</small></td></tr></table></form></body></html>
Explaining The Code The code on the last page collects seven pieces of data which we will
explain here. It then submits the answers to a page called contact.php
which we will create next.
First we use the option feature to create a drop down menu,
allowing the user to direct their mail to different departments. Each
of these values is set to a different email address. When submitted the
form data will be directed to the appropriate email.

Now we must create the PHP for the page contact.php, to collect the data and send it to the appropriate email.
<?php
$to = $_REQUEST['sendto'] ;
$from = $_REQUEST['Email'] ;
$name = $_REQUEST['Name'] ;
$headers = "From: $from";
$subject = "Web Contact Data";
$fields = array();
$fields{"Name"} = "Name";
$fields{"Company"} = "Company";
$fields{"Email"} = "Email";
$fields{"Phone"} = "Phone";
$fields{"list"} = "Mailing List";
$fields{"Message"} = "Message";
$body = "We have received the following information:\n\n"; foreach($fields as $a => $b){ $body .= sprintf("%20s: %s\n",$b,$_REQUEST[$a]); }
$headers2 = "From: noreply@YourCompany.com";
$subject2 = "Thank you for contacting us";
$autoreply = "Thank you for contacting us. Somebody will get back to you as soon as possible, usualy within 48 hours. If you have any more questions, please consult our website at www.oursite.com";
if($from == '') {print "You have not entered an email, please go back and try again";}
else {
if($name == '') {print "You have not entered a name, please go back and try again";}
else {
$send = mail($to, $subject, $body, $headers);
$send2 = mail($from, $subject2, $autoreply, $headers2);
if($send)
{header( "Location: http://www.YourDomain.com/thankyou.html" );}
else
{print "We encountered an error sending your mail, please notify webmaster@YourCompany.com"; }
}
}
?>

4 Steps to a Good Password
Before we begin, we must be clear on one major
expectation: there is no such thing as a perfect password. A committed
hacker can crack any password, given enough time and the right
"dictionary" or "brute force" tools. But just like breaking into a car, if the protection is strong enough, the hacker will become discouraged and commonly give up before the protection fails.
A good password starts with a base word phrase. This means: choose a memorable catchphrase, quotation, or easy to remember saying, and take the first letter from each word. Choose a phrase that is memorable to you.
Examples of some base word phrases:
Passwords start to
become strong at 6 characters long. While a long password can be
annoying to type, a long password really helps to slow down brute force
hacker attacks.
Tip: lengthen your password by adding the website name or computer software name to the base phrase. For example:
Tech tip: passwords
that are 15 characters and more are extremely strong, because Microsoft
Windows will not store scrambled passwords in hidden files once they
are 15 characters or longer.
Scrambling does not necessarily mean rearranging the letters. Rather, scrambling your password can effectively be achieved by swapping one
or more of the password letters with a non-alphabetic character, and
then purposely including uppercase and lowercase letters within the
password. Scrambling creatively uses the shift key, punctuation
marks, the @ or % symbols, and even semi-colons and periods. Using
numbers as substitutes for letters is another strong scrambling
technique.
Examples of scrambling:
At
work, your network people will require you to change your password
every several days. At home, you should rotate your passwords as a
matter of good computer hygiene. If you are using different passwords for differents websites, you can do yourself a favor by rotating portions your passwords
every few weeks. Note that rotating parts of the password, not the
entire passwords, will help deter hackers from stealing your phrases. If
you can memorize three or more passwords at the same time, then you are
in good shape to resist brute force hacker attacks.

What Is 'Brute Force' Dictionary Hacking?
Question: What Is 'Brute Force' Dictionary Hacking?
Answer: Hackers use three common methods to acquire people's computer passwords:
- Brute Force ('Dictionary') Repetition
- Social Engineering (commonly: phishing)
- Administrator Back Doors
1) Brute Force (aka 'Dictionary' Attacks)
The term "brute force" means to overpower the defense through repetition.
In the case of password hacking, brute forcing involves dictionary
software that recombines English dictionary words with thousands of
varying combination. (Yes, much like a Hollywood safecracker movie
scene, but much slower and much less glamorous). Brute force
dictionaries always start with simple letters "a", "aa", "aaa", and then
eventually moves to full words like "dog", "doggie", "doggy". These
brute force dictionaries can make up to 50 attempts per minute in some
cases. Given several hours or days, these dictionary tools will overcome
any password. The secret is to make it take days to crack your password.
2) Social Engineering Attacks
Social engineering is the modern con game: the hacker manipulates you to
divulge your password by using some kind of convincing personal
contact. This personal contact might involve direct face-to-face
communications, like a pretty girl with a clipboard doing interviews in a
shopping mall. Social engineering attacks might also occur over the
phone, where a hacker will masquerade as a bank representative calling
to confirm your phone number and bank account numbers. The third and
most common social engineering attack is called phishing or whaling.
Phishing and whaling attacks are deception pages masquerading as
legitimate authorities on your computer screen. Phishing/whaling emails
will often redirect the victim to a convincing phishing website, where
the victim types in their password, believing the website to be their
actual bank or online account.
3) Administrator Back Doors
This kind of attack is akin to stealing the building master keys from
the building janitor: the perpetrator accesses the system as if they
were an entrusted employee. In the case of computer administrators:
special all-access accounts allow the user into areas where only trusted
network administrator should go. These administrator areas include
password recovery options. If the hacker can enter your system with the
administrator's account, the hacker can retrieve passwords of most
anyone on that system.

Cellcrypt Launches Secure Cell Phone Conference Calling
Cellcrypt the leading provider of secure mobile
voice calling, today announced that it has launched a secure conference
service that provides both device authentication and voice call
encryption to participants using popular cell phones like BlackBerry®
and Nokia smartphones.
Organizations depend on conference
calls to run their daily operations and often discuss confidential and
highly sensitive information on calls such as sales, supplier and
executive management meetings, intellectual property discussions, high
value business deal talks, crisis management calls or even discussions
concerning disaster scenarios and national security.
But traditional conference calling
services are open to abuse through unauthorized access. Where access
security is in place for conference calls, it is often poorly managed
with dial-in details and PINs seldom changing. A commonly reported
scenario is for ex-employees to continue to access regular conference
calls or pass details to unauthorized personnel.
Furthermore, as participants have
become more dispersed, they often access conference calls using cell
phones, which are increasingly at risk of interception.
The Cellcrypt Secure Conference
Service both authenticates the participant’s cell phone and encrypts
conversations end-to-end between each participant and the conference
bridge, to ensure important conversations, from team briefings to board
calls, remain confidential.
“Conference calls by their very
nature typically contain some of the most sensitive and confidential
information an organization has,” said Simon Bransfield-Garth, CEO at
Cellcrypt. “These calls are highly desirable to attackers, who know just
how valuable the information is. As the risk of cellular interception
has increased so has the vulnerability of mobile executives accessing
conference calls from the mobile phones. Organizations should urgently
review their communications practices and act to protect their
mission-critical conference calls.”
The conference calling service is
easy-to-use, with participants simply selecting a bridge number from
their Cellcrypt Mobile enabled Blackberry or Nokia smartphone to enter
the call. Office phones can also securely participate in conference
calls when connected via Cellcrypt’s Enterprise Gateway solution.
Organizations can manage conference
calls using a simple web console to define all users that may access the
conferencing service, create bridge numbers, define policies such as
user white lists and additional access PINs. Optionally, a bridge may
allow access from selected public payphone using Caller ID and PINs for
authentication in geographies where the threat of interception is
regarded as controlled (the call segments from public telephones are not
encrypted).
The service builds on Cellcrypt’s
existing solutions that provide encrypted voice calls on cell phones,
such as BlackBerry and Nokia smartphones, delivering government-grade
security in an easy-to-use application that makes highly secure calling
as easy as making a normal phone call. Utilizing the IP data channel it
supports all major wireless networks, Wi-Fi® and satellite. Encryption
is government-grade and certified to FIPS 140-2 standard by the US
National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Online Reviews for Local Businesses Becoming More Visible
It's no secret that satisfied customers bring you more sales,
while unhappy customers can prevent sales. People who feel
strongly about a service they receíved or a product they
purchased are likely to tell others about their experience.
Before the internet, this effect was limited to word of mouth.
A customer could tell his family, friends and co-workers about
his great or terrible experience with your company. It took some
effort on the customer's part to get the word out, though, and
many of them wouldn't take the time. Very few of them took the
time to write a letter to the business or even tell friends
about it more than a few days after their interaction with a
business. Only if they were extremely pleased or displeased
would the word get out.
The growth of the internet has made it much easier to praise or
complain about a company in a public place. There are many online
directories that allow anyone to post a comment about a business.
Not only does this allow a customer to make their opinion of your
products and services known to many more people, it also opens
the door to abuse. Business owners pretending to be customers
can post positive reviews. Disgruntled employees can post
negative reviews. There is no verification that the information
posted is true.
All of those reviews are about to become ten times more visible
to potential customers who are looking for a local business.
Google Places, formerly Google Local Business Listings, has
displayed reviews entered by users on their site and a number of
other directories. Now Google is integrating information from
the Google Places listing into the organic search. That's right.
You've worked hard to make sure that you are one of the first
few listings that shows up when customers are looking for the
services you provide in your area. Now, right next to the organic
listing is a link to customer reviews. Immediately below your
URL is your address and phone number from your Google Places
listing. Often a snippet of a review is there too. If this
happens to be a negative review, the potential customer will
almost certainly click on a different listing. It's the online
equivalent of someone standing in front of your business with a
sign telling people not to shop there.
What can you do about it? Google won't remóve a negative review
just because you ask them to. And they won't take the time to
find out whether the information is accurate. You must encourage
positive reviews and address negative ones - with the customer
and/or online.
Encourage Good Reviews
If there are more positive reviews than negative, there's a
better chance that a review that shows within the body of your
listing will be good. Also, if a customer takes the time to look
at several reviews, they may be swayed by the happy customers.
You could encourage all of your customers to write an online
review, but that will result in more negative reviews as well
as positive. How can you approach only the satisfied customers
with a request for an online review? Here are a few ideas.
Many businesses already have a system in place to solicit
customer feedback, often in the form of a telephone follow-up
or written questionnaire. You could sort out those who have
responded favorably and send them a request for an online review.
If your request is in the form of an email, you could provide
links to your business's listings on various sites that accept
user reviews. You could provide something to your customer in
return for taking the time to post a review. A free ice cream,
10% off their next purchase from you, or some other prize could
entice them to make the effort and make them feel good about
your business at the same time.
Address Damaging Reviews
If you can contact the unhappy customer and solve whatever
problem he had, he may be willing to remove the negative review.
Whether or not you think his complaint is valid, it's in your
best interest to fix it. This may cost you money, but not doing
so could cost you even more. Think about how much you spend to
bring in new customers. Don't let a relatively small amount of
money get in your way, even if the customer is wrong and you're
right.
Sometimes it will be impossible to get the customer to rescind
his post. You can still mitigate the damage by responding to the
complaint online. Post yóur own comment explaining the situation
or apologizing to the reviewer and stating your offer to fix the
problem. If a potential customer takes the time to read the whole
story, they'll see that you are trying to make your customers
happy.
Occasionally, a review will violate the terms established by the
review site, for example using foul language. If this is the
case, you can flag the review and it may be removed.
Other Tips
Don't enter multiple positive reviews yourself. Online
directories try to prevent fraudulent reviews because they make
their site less useful to their visitors.
Google Places displays reviews from sites such as Insider Pages
and Yelp, as well as reviews posted directly to Google. If you
ask your customers for positive reviews, give them links to a
variety of review sites. It will look more natural if reviews
come from more than one site.
It has always been important for a business to cultivate a good
reputation, but not ever before has a dissatisfied customer been
able to reach the public right alongside your advertisement.
More and more consumers are bypassing the yellow pages and
turning to their favorite search engine to find a business
instead. You can no longer afford not to know what reviews are
out there or to ignore dissatisfied customers. They have more
power than ever before.
